Why I'm Running

A neighbor steps to the podium with just two minutes to speak. They describe rising housing costs, airport expansion, traffic, public safety, and their fear that Camarillo is slowly losing the small-town character they love. When they finish, the room grows quiet. They return to their seat wondering whether anyone at City Hall truly listened—or whether another decision has already been made.

That question is exactly why I'm running.

I believe listening is where leadership begins, but accountability is where it proves itself.

Without special-interest endorsements, I am free to research every issue, ask the difficult questions others avoid, challenge the status quo, and stand up for residents instead of politics or bureaucracy. Meaningful change requires courage because asking hard questions is rarely comfortable—but staying silent costs communities far more.

Every important decision should begin with one simple question:

What is best for the people who call Camarillo home?

When government listens, trust grows.

When leaders ask hard questions, accountability follows.

When residents are heard, Camarillo grows stronger.
